Congratulations to Jenni Sidey (2011) who has become one of Canada's latest astronauts, as announced by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Canada Day (1 July 2017).
As , Jenni has already been through a rigorous one-year selection programme. Out of 3,772 applications, Jenni is one of just two new astronauts who will move on to a two-year training program starting in August 2017 at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.
As earlier this year, Jenni grew up inspired by Canada’s first female astronaut - and now will no doubt be a role model herself for future generations of scientists and astronauts.
